1st Community Meeting of SONet, Oct. 7-9

The first community meeting of SONet will be held from Oct. 7-9, with approximately 20 participants representing a range of technical approaches to modeling observational data within the earth system sciences.  The goals of this meeting will be to discuss and refine the requirements for a "Data Interoperability Challenge" for the earth system sciences, and identify short-term technology tasks that can support these efforts.
